Transforming
Lives

IMG_1835_edited_edited.jpg

Laurie Hyatt, Ph.D., is the author of memoir and personal empowerment books. An unconventional free spirit, Laurie attained a pilot’s license at age 20, her motorcycle license when she was 47 years old, and at age 60, earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia. She has created and facilitated women’s personal growth groups in several Georgia cities and worked with the Hopi Tribe in Arizona as a mental health counselor.

Her books and her monthly blog inspire readers to take risks, face fears, and be willing to change perceptions to live an authentic, meaningful life of self-discovery.

In addition to writing, Laurie is an avid vegetable and flower gardener. Her garden has twice the square footage as her house, a testament to her priorities. She lives in north Georgia with her sweetheart, Larry, and their black cat, Kiki.
